We began meeting for public worship on November 22, 2015. You are warmly invited to join us for our services. Whether or not you consider yourself a Christian, we welcome you to wrestle with the claims of Christianity by exploring our community as we gather together to worship God, hear him speak to us through the Bible, share our hopes and burdens with him in prayer, feast with him in Holy Communion, and joyfully fellowship with God and one another. Perhaps you have never been to church––or not in a long time––and fear that you won’t know what to do, how to act, or what to say. Be assured: Resurrection Sheepshead Bay is for people just like you, and we’ve tried to see to the details that will help you easily participate with us when you visit. Our Worship Services are held weekly on Sunday morning, from 10:30am until 12pm. After the service, we hope you will stick around to give us the opportunity to meet you over bagels and coffee.
Children are warmly welcome in our entire service! We love a little noise. To aid parents, however, we offer a nursery for babies and toddlers starting just prior to the worship service (ages 0-36 months). Please sign in your child(ren) and leave any special instructions for their care. Nursery is available for the duration of the service, or you may choose to pick up your child(ren) to receive a blessing during Communion. Additionally, young children are invited to attend age appropriate classes during the sermon. Children are dismissed after the song before the sermon, where a teacher for each age group will take them to their classroom. They will be returned to you during the offertory. Class time may include singing, Bible story instruction, acting, and crafts. We believe that children are an important part of our church community and hope to create at Resurrection Sheepshead Bay a place where they can grow in their understanding of the Gospel and begin to see its fruit in their lives.
